Singing Our Place in Ecosystems

Around the world, land based cultures sing wordlessly. In Ireland, this style is called mouth music. In Scandinavia, wordless song helps with animal herding. In a time of crisis on earth, could it be that restoring ancient uses of song to usher us into deep feeling and communion with the Earth can complement our more cognitive-based search for improving our place in ecosystems? I will share my spontaneous singing, guiding you through call-and-response choral music to support different ways of feeling and sense-making. My hope is that as people get comfortable, they may wish to improvise as well. What is the new and ancient folk music that wants to naturally rise from this time and place? I look forward to singing in curiosity with you! Location is private. If you’re interested, please reach out. $5-$25 suggested donation, with no one turned away for lack of funds.
